The Sacred Name Yahweh

The name Yahweh is the only name considered sacred in all of Scriptures and the only personal name of our heavenly father. The key to the knowledge contained in Scriptures is the knowledge and use of the sacred name Yahweh.

Scriptures proclaim that the name Yahweh is extremely valuable and that knowledge of it is necessary for salvation. The requirement for the knowledge and use of the sacred name is not restricted to the Jews or those speaking Hebrew but is a requisite for all of mankind.

The original pronunciation of the sacred name has never been lost.  Therefore, everyone is able to call upon the name Yahweh for salvation and eternal life.

— “For it will be (that) all who will call on the name Yahweh shall be saved.” (Joel 2:32)

Yahweh the Father

Father Yahweh is the supreme creator of all things. He lives in perpetuity, and all power and life derive from him.

— “And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto Yahweh, the most high el, the possessor of heaven and earth.” (Gen. 14:22)

His abode is in the third heavens and, according to Scriptures, he will make his habitation on the earth at the end of the Millennial Judgment Day (the 8th-Millennial day).

The Son

Father Yahweh shared his sacred name Yahweh with his beloved son, and he also gave him the praenomen Yahu. Father Yahweh created all things by means of Yahu Yahweh, who would later take on the earthly name Yahushua.

— “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Yahweh, and the Word was deity. The same was in the beginning with Yahweh. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.” (John 1:1-3)

Yahu Yahweh is the heavenly being who appeared and spoke to the Old Testament patriarchs by the name Yahweh.

— “And Yahweh appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto your spermati (LXX: singular seed) will I give this land.” (Gen. 12:7)

It is Yahu Yahweh who subsequently became the human Yahushua (Yahu-saves) the messiah to offer salvation to mankind through the mechanism of the Eternal Inheritance as contained in the Abrahamic Covenants of Promise. For details regarding the Eternal Inheritance please refer to Chapter II of The Festival and Sacred Days of Yahweh titled  The Inheritance .

Yahushua will return to the earth at his second coming at the beginning of the Millennial Sabbath Day (the 7th Millennial Day).

Sacred Ruach (Holy Spirit)

The sacred ruach is the energy or power that emanates from father Yahweh and enables life to exist. All ruach comes from the father.

By father Yahweh’s instructions, this sacred ruach was utilized by Yahu Yahweh to bring all things after him into existence. Yahu Yahweh blew the vital breath (the sacred ruach) into Adam’s nostrils, which caused him to become alive and self-aware.

— “And Yahweh eloahim formed the man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the vital breath; and the man became a living person.” (Genesis 2:7)

The sacred ruach is not a person or personality.

Trinity

The concept of a Trinity consisting of three co-equal persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) forming one deity is a false doctrine. Father Yahweh is a person, and Yahu Yahweh (Yahushua the messiah) the son is a person separate from the father.

The sacred ruach (Holy Spirit) is an energy or force utilized to bring things about and is not the third person of a trinity as expressed by the Trinity Doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church.

Satan

An angelic being who is the adversary of mankind. He goes about as a roaring lion seeking to devour.

— “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour.” (1Peter 5:8)

Satan has not yet been cast out of the third heavens to the earth. This event will happen seven years before the return of Yahushua the messiah at his second coming. This will also occur at the beginning of the Millennial Sabbath Day (7th Millennial Day).

Salvation

The sacred name Yahweh is essential for attaining salvation, but eternal life for mankind also comes about by means of Yahushua the messiah.

The mechanism utilized by Yahushua is the Eternal Inheritance as contained in the Abrahamic Covenants of Promise. Yahushua specifically stated:

— “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)

For more information regarding the Eternal Inheritance, please refer to Chapter II of The Festival and Sacred Days of Yahweh titled The Inheritance .

Preexistence of Yahushua the Messiah

Yahushua the messiah, the son of father Yahweh, preexisted as the eloah being, Yahu Yahweh before he became a human.

He was the Yahweh who appeared and spoke to the patriarchs of the Old Testament.

— “Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Yahushua said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am (I existed).” (John 8:56-58)

The book of Malachi refers to Yahu Yahweh as the “Angel of the Covenant”:

— “Behold, I send my angel to prepare the way before me, and the sovereign whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple; the ANGEL OF THE COVENANT” in whom you delight, behold, he is coming, says Yahweh of hosts.” (Mal. 3:1)

Subsequently, Yahu Yahweh was later transformed into a human born of a virgin from the House of David.

After becoming human, Yahu Yahweh was given the earthly name Yahushua, which means Yahu saves, or Yahu is salvation.

If one denies that Yahushua the messiah preexisted as Yahu Yahweh who became a human being of the seed of David, that one is considered an anti-messiah!

— “For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Yahushua messiah is come IN THE FLESH. This is a deceiver and an anti-messiah. ” (2 John 7)

For more information regarding this topic please refer to our article titled The Preexistence of the Messiah .

The Eternal Inheritance

The Eternal Inheritance is the mechanism by which Yahushua the messiah provides salvation for all mankind. This mechanism is contained in the Covenants of Promise given to Abraham and his singular seed (Yahushua the messiah).

The offer of salvation is bound to the legal concept of an inheritance. Therefore it is mandated that the testator of the Will must die to pass it on. It is important to recognize that salvation and eternal life are contained within this Will. As the book of Hebrews asserts, the testator  of the Will is Yahushua the messiah:

— “Therefore he (Yahushua) is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred which redeems them from the transgressions under the first covenant. FOR WHERE A WILL IS INVOLVED, THE DEATH OF THE ONE WHO MADE IT MUST BE ESTABLISHED. FOR A WILL TAKES EFFECT ONLY AT DEATH, since it is not in force as long as the one who made it is alive. (Hebrews 9:15-17)

For more information regarding the Eternal Inheritance, please refer to Chapter II of The Festival and Sacred Days of Yahweh titled The Inheritance .

Weekly Sabbath

The weekly Sabbath Day is the seventh day of the week (Saturday). The Sabbath Day existed from the very beginning as given in the book of Genesis. ( Genesis 2:2-3 )

The Sabbath Day is the fourth commandment as listed in the book of Exodus. ( Exodus 20:8-11 )

One is not to do their personal business on this day. At the same time, it is not a time to be idle and do nothing.

One is to do father Yahweh’s business on the Sabbath Day by the study and teaching of Scriptures and to help others find Yahweh’s truth regarding their eternal life.

— “And (Yahushua) came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days.” (Luke 4:31)

We are to help prepare the way for the return of Yahushua the messiah, at the beginning of the Sabbath Millennial Day (7th Millennial Day) and the coming of father Yahweh at the end of the Millennial Judgment Day (8th Millennial Day.

Beginning of the Year and New Moons

Yahweh has established his sacred days upon a lunar-solar calendar.

The beginning of the year is based upon the timing of the first full moon, Abib 14, after the spring equinox. During this same year, the Festival of Ingathering (Tishri 22), also called the Last Great Day, must occur after the autumnal equinox.

New moons are reckoned based upon the timing of the conjunction of the sun and moon either during the daylight or nighttime portion of the 24-hour day. Once the proper calculations are applied and the last day of the month is determined, the next sunset will begin the first of the month or new-moon day.

There is no scriptural requirement for a visual sighting of a thin crescent of the moon to determine a new month. There is also no stipulation in Scriptures that there must be a certain ripeness of barley or any agricultural crop to begin a new year.

Scriptural and historical evidence proves that the ancients relied on calculations to determine a new moon and a new year.

For more information, see Rules for the New Moon and The Beginning of the Year .

Festival of Passover and Unleavened Bread

The Festival of Passover is observed at the beginning of Abib 14 after sunset. Abib 14 is also the first day of the 7-day Festival of Unleavened Bread. The 7-day Festival of Unleavened Bread is Abib 14 to Abib 20.

During the Exodus, Yahweh gave Abib 14, the first day of Unleavened Bread, the name Passover. This was the day when the Israelites ate the Passover lamb just after sunset at the beginning of Abib 14.

— “And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is Yahweh’s Phasekh (Passover).” (Exodus 12:11)

In the middle of the night, the destroyer passed over the Israelites but killed all the firstborn of Egypt. During this night, the Israelites gained their freedom from Egypt when Pharaoh released the Israelites from their bondage.

The second day of the 7-day Festival of Unleavened Bread is Abib 15. This was the day that the Israelites began their march out of Egypt.

The first day (Abib 14) and the last day (Abib 20) are High Sabbaths and sacred convocations.

This observance was the practice by the early followers of Yahushua the messiah, known as Quartodecimans.

Yahushua the messiah was the Passover sacrifice who died to provide grace and pass on the promise of eternal life to mankind via the Eternal Inheritance as contained in the Abrahamic Covenants of Promise.

The 144,000 elect from the 12 tribes of Israel and 24 elders will be resurrected on Abib 20, the last day of the Festival of Passover and Unleavened Bread at the beginning of the Millennial Sabbath Day (7th Millennial Day)

For an in-depth study regarding the proper observance of the Festival of Passover as practiced by Yahushua the messiah, and his early followers, please refer to Part 2 of the Festivals and Sacred Days of Yahweh .

Festival of Weeks (Pentecost)

This festival day is determined by counting 50 days from the day of the wave sheaf offering. The day of the wave sheaf offering is the day after the weekly Sabbath of Passover week (Abib 14-20). See: The Festival of Shabuath (Pentecost)

Pentecost is a High Sabbath and sacred convocation. Pentecost always falls on the first day of the week.

This day represents the quickening into eternal life of Yahushua’s body, who are the 144,000 elect and 24 elders of the First Resurrection.

This is also when the New Covenant marriage (betrothal) takes place with the elect and 24 elders. These 144,000 elect are from the 12 tribes of Israel who are killed during the 3-1/2 year Tribulation Period. The last of them will be murdered on the day of the wave sheaf offering just before the return of Yahushua the messiah, at the beginning of the Millennial Sabbath Day (7th Millennial Day).

Day of Trumpets

This day is observed on Tishri 1, the first day of the seventh month. It is a High Sabbath and sacred convocation.

The Day of Trumpets signifies the approaching end of the Millennial Sabbath Day (7th Millennial Day). Furthermore, it is a warning that all the remnant of mankind must die before the commencement of the Millennial Judgment Day (8th Millennial Day).

Day of Atonement

The Day of Atonement takes place on Tishri 10 and is a High Sabbath and sacred convocation. This is a day of fasting from food and water.

This day also represents the death of all mankind shortly before the beginning of the Millennial Judgment Day (8th Millennial Day).

Festival of Tabernacles

According to Scriptures, this 1st day, along with the next 6, constitute the 7-day Festival of Tabernacles (Tishri 15-21). ( Lev. 23:33-39 ; Num. 29:12 ; Deut. 16:13 ; John 7:10 ) This day is a High Sabbath and Sacred Convocation.

Tishri 15 is also 1st day of the 8-day Festival of Ingathering. ( Exod. 23:16 , 34:22 )

The Festival of Tabernacles represents those taking part in the Second Resurrection. The Second Resurrection occurs during the Festival of Tabernacles at the beginning of the Millennial Judgment Day (8th Millennial Day).

The Second Resurrection consists of all those who did not take part in the First Resurrection at the beginning of the Millennial Sabbath Day (7th Millennial Day).

This is the time when Yahu Yahweh will dwell with all nations.

Festival of Ingathering (Last Great Day)

Festival Day 8 (Last Great Day) of the 8-day Festival of Ingathering occurring on Tishri 22. It is a High Sabbath and Sacred Convocation.

In particular, this single day and the previous 7 days are also collectively referred to as the Festival of Ingathering (Tishri 15-22).
( Exod. 23:16 ; Lev. 23:36 , 23:39 ; Num. 29:35 ; Neh. 8:18 ; John 7:37 )

This Festival represents the time that New Jerusalem, which consists of the great harvest of all the saved of mankind, is quickened into eternal life and perfected. This event occurs at the end of the Millennial Judgment Day (8th Millennial Day).

It is at this time that Yahu Yahweh escorts father Yahweh to the earth bringing the Gehenna Fire (Lake of Fire) to cleanse the earth of all the wicked.

It is also when the consummation of the New Covenant marriage of New Jerusalem with father Yahweh takes place. Additionally, the Universal Gathering will take place at this time. ( Heb. 12:22-24 )

Millennial Sabbath Day (7th Millennial Day)

The ending of the 3-1/2 year Tribulation Period will usher in the Millennial Sabbath Day (7th Millennial Day), which is a period lasting approximately 1000 years. The second coming of Yahushua the messiah occurs at the beginning of this period. The First Resurrection of the 144,000 elect of Israel and the 24 elders occur at this time.

— “For if Yahushua had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of Yahweh.” (Hebrews 4:8-9)

Additionally, at this time, the remnant of the House of Israel and the House of Judah will be brought back to the Promised Land, and Yahushua, along with the 144,000 resurrected elect from the 12 tribes of Israel and the 24 elders, will rule over all the nations.

Toward the end of this period, Satan will be released from his prison and bring Gog and Magog to attack Jerusalem. Gog and Magog will be destroyed, and Satan will meet his demise at this time. ( Rev. 20:7-10 )

All those of mankind who are not of the quickened elect of Israel and remain alive near the end of Millennial Sabbath Day must experience their death to take part in the Second Resurrection during the Millennial Judgment Day (the 8th Millennial Day).

Millennial Judgment Day (8th Millennial Day)

After the end of Millennial Sabbath Day (7th Millennial Day), the Millennial Judgment Day (the 8th Millennial Day) will commence. This will last for approximately 1000 years.

The Second Resurrection will take place at the first Festival of Tabernacles of this period. The people who are resurrected are all those who have lived and died since the time of Adam and are not part of the quickened 144,000 elect and 24 elders who took part in the First Resurrection at the beginning of the Millennial Sabbath Day.

At this time, the rest of mankind will have the opportunity to achieve salvation and eternal life by entering into the New Covenant via the Eternal Inheritance. Everyone will be taught the ways of Yahweh. Everyone must be tested and endure to the end by having instilled the divine nature (love) into their inner selves during the Millennial Judgment Day.

At the very end of the Millennial Judgment Day, Yahu Yahweh (Yahushua the messiah) will accompany father Yahweh as he arrives to the earth bringing the Gehenna Fire (Lake of Fire) to cleanse the earth of all wickedness and impurities. This is the baptism of fire that all of mankind must experience and survive. Those who endure this fire will have had enough of the divine nature instilled within them. Those who do not have the divine nature within them will perish for eternity.

Resurrections

The Scriptures describe two major resurrections: the First Resurrection and the Second Resurrection unto judgment.

The First Resurrection takes place at the end of the 3-1/2 year Tribulation Period and the beginning of the Millennial Sabbath Day (7th Millennial Day). This is the second coming of Yahushua the messiah to the earth. The First Resurrection comprises the 144,000 elect from the 12 tribes of Israel and the 24 elders.

— “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the FIRST RESURRECTION: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of Yahweh and of messiah, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” (Rev. 20:6)

The Second Resurrection occurs on the Festival of Tabernacles at the beginning of the Millennial Judgment Day (8th Millennial Day). This resurrection consists of all those of mankind since the creation of Adam, who did not take part in the First Resurrection. During the Millennial Judgment Day, the rest of mankind will have the opportunity to achieve salvation and eternal life via the Eternal Inheritance as found in the Abrahamic Covenants of Promise.

— “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the DAY OF JUDGMENT: because as he is, so are we in this world.” (1 John 4:17)

— “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that ONE DAY IS WITH YAHWEH AS A THOUSAND YEARS, and a THOUSAND YEARS AS ONE DAY.” (2 Peter 3:8)

Immortal Soul

The immortal soul doctrine is a false and pagan doctrine. Scriptures do not teach that a person has an immortal soul that cannot die. On the contrary, Scriptures inform us that a person is a living nephesh and, in fact, will die.

— “FOR AS IN ADAM ALL DIE, even so in messiah shall all be made alive.” (1 Cor. 15:22)

Once a person dies, the nephesh (person) enters into a state of being called sheol. In this state, the nephesh is said to be in a state of sleep where there is no thought or consciousness.

The nephesh or person will be resurrected with a mortal incorruptible body at the First Resurrection or Second Resurrection. This mortal incorruptible body can then be quickened into immortality.

The quickening will occur for the 144,000 elect and 24 elders on Pentecost at the beginning of the Millennial Sabbath Day (7th Millennial Day). The quickening of all the saved of mankind will occur immediately preceding father Yahweh’s arrival to the earth at the end of the Millennial Judgment Day (8th Millennial Day).

Heaven

Scriptures indicate that there are three realms of the heavens.

• The first heaven consists of the immediate atmosphere surrounding the earth.
• The second heaven subsists of the spatial realm of the sun, moon, and stars.
• The third heaven is the dimensional realm where father Yahweh and other ruach (angelic) beings reside.

Hell

The concept of Hell, where wicked immortal souls of humans are tormented forever, is a false doctrine and is pagan in origin. Nowhere in Scriptures is this taught.

Many have unfortunately mistranslated the Greek terms tartaros, hades, and gehenna, as well as the Hebrew word sheol, indiscriminately as “hell.” On the contrary, Scriptures reveal that sheol is the state of being or unconscious sleep that one enters into upon death. It is from this state that one is resurrected from the dead.

In truth, it is fallen angels who go alive into a dimensional place called Tartaros. Then, at a time in the future, they are to be released from this prison to undergo judgment.

— “For if the deity did not spare the angels who sinned, but thrust them into Tartaros, keeping them in chains of darkness unto judgment.” (2 Peter 2:4)

Dietary Regulations

Scriptures teach that clean and unclean animals existed from the time of Adam and Eve. Therefore, it stands to reason that the dietary rules found in Scriptures and other cleanliness statutes are excellent to practice, possessing great health benefits.

It is also essential to recognize that only clean offerings are brought before Yahweh; therefore, unclean meats/food should not be presented on a Sabbath or Feast Day.

On the other hand, Scriptures teach that strict adherence to the dietary regulations does not determine one’s salvation and eternal life.

— “It is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a man, but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.” (Matt. 15:11)

The conditions for salvation are the same for both the Israelite and a person of the nations ( Acts 15: 7-11 ). There are four decrees found in the Torah of Moses not adverse to us that are to continue. Regarding clean and unclean foods, Acts 15:19-20 and 28-29 sums it up with the following requirements:

1. Abstain from the pollutions of idols.
2. Abstain from porneia (sexual misconduct).
3. Abstain from eating animals that are strangled.
4. Abstain from eating or drinking blood.

Aside from these four requirements stated above from the book of Acts, Scriptures do not demand that one adhere to the general dietary rules as required under the Torah of Moses to achieve salvation.

— “Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach, and THEN IS PASSED ON INTO THE SEWER? But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a man.” (Matt. 15:17-18)

Water Baptism

Saul (Paul) of the New Testament sets the record straight regarding the requirement of water baptism for one’s salvation and eternal life:

— “I did baptize also the household of Stephanas. Beyond that, I DO NOT KNOW WHETHER I BAPTIZED ANYONE ELSE. FOR MESSIAH DID NOT SEND ME TO BAPTIZE but to preach the gospel . . .” (1 Corinthians 1:16-17)

Indeed, Yahushua the messiah, the savior of all who shall be saved, never baptized anyone during his entire earthly ministry.

— “Although Yahushua himself did not baptize, but only his disciples.” (John 4:2)

One should recognize that water baptism is a fleshly token setting oneself to be baptized with ruach (spirit) and fire. It is also symbolic of one’s death and resurrection.

Should we be baptized in water today? Of course, this symbolic act would be good, but it would only be of value if we are prepared to take on the responsibility of such tokens and seals. It is a professing of one’s trust in Yahweh, as circumcision was a token for Abraham.

Who, among us today, has either the authority or has possession of the sacred ruach to baptize with water? John the Baptist, the apostles, and other disciples who performed baptisms in the past were under direct orders from Yahweh or Yahushua the messiah to baptize. ( John 1:33 ; Matthew 28:16-19 )

There is not found one verse in Scriptures that gives the authority for anyone to perform baptisms today. Therefore, pointing to passages where the apostles were given direct authority cannot be used to provide ourselves authority.

If Yahweh wants us to pick up the ceremony of baptism, he must authorize someone to carry out the act, just as John the Baptist and the apostles were duly authorized.

Circumcision

Saul, of the New Testament, tells us that the spiritual and inward circumcision of the heart is essential. But, on the other hand, fleshly circumcision, like water baptism, is symbolic and unnecessary for one’s salvation.

— “For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; AND CIRCUMCISION IS THAT OF THE HEART, IN THE SPIRIT, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of the deity.” (Romans 2:28-29)

No one is declared righteous by Yahweh because they become circumcised of the flesh, but man is justified by his trust in Yahweh.

— “Circumcision (of the flesh) is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but keeping the commandments of Yahweh (is something).” (1 Corinthians 7:19)

Remember that Abraham was justified by trust before he received the token of fleshly circumcision.

— “And he (Abraham) received A SIGN OF CIRCUMCISION (as) a seal of the righteousness of trust (while) in uncircumcision, for him to be a father of those believing through uncircumcision, for righteousness to be counted to them also, and a father of circumcision to those not of circumcision only, but also to those WALKING IN THE STEPS OF THE TRUST OF OUR FATHER ABRAHAM DURING UNCIRCUMCISION.” (Romans 4:11-12)

Finally, it is not wrong for someone to be circumcised in the flesh; no more than it would be wrong to abstain from eating unclean meats. However, they can be beneficial if one does these things for the right reasons, such as health considerations, as a token of the Torah of Trust, and as a reminder of their prophetic meanings.

Marriage

Qadesh La Yahweh Assembly supports the scriptural concept of marriage between one man and one woman. It is intended to be a lifelong relationship.

— “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” (Matthew 19:5)

According to Scriptures, divorce is only allowed for the reasons of physical or spiritual adultery.

— “And I (Yahweh) saw, when for all the causes whereby BACKSLIDING ISRAEL COMMITTED ADULTERY (WITH OTHER DEITIES) I HAD PUT HER AWAY, AND GIVEN HER A BILL OF DIVORCE.” (Jeremiah 3:8)

— “And I (Yahushua) say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, EXCEPT IT BE FOR PORNEIA (SEXUAL MISCONDUCT), and shall marry another, commits adultery: and whoever marries her which is put away does commit adultery.” (Matthew 19:9)

Following the guidelines of Scriptures, QLYA does not recognize or endorse any other types of unions such as LGBTQ or polygamous marriages.
